NORTH TONAWANDA, NY – The North Tonawanda community is gearing up for a spirited evening this Saturday, July 19, as Fattey Beer Wurlitzer hosts a lively fundraiser in support of the North Tonawanda High School (NTHS) Unified Sports Teams.
The event, spearheaded by local advocate Paul Swisher and promoted via The Public NT Facebook Page, promises an evening of music, camaraderie, and local spirit, with beloved NT business owner Teresa Belbas proudly serving as the host.
Unified Sports is a program that brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to train and compete together, fostering inclusion, understanding, and friendship within the school community. This initiative, vital for promoting accessibility and camaraderie, will directly benefit from the evening's proceeds.
The festivities are set to kick off at 6:00 PM at the iconic Wurlitzer Building, home to Fattey Beer Wurlitzer. Attendees can look forward to beers poured by none other than North Tonawanda's own "superhero teacher/coach," Scott Gauld, starting right at the top of the hour.
At 7:00 PM, the stage will come alive with live music from North Tonawanda's beloved band, The Dooleys, ensuring a "rockin' good time" for all in attendance. The four-hour event is designed to be a true "NT Lumberjacks' kinda night," welcoming anyone on or off Facebook to join in the fun and support.
"It's going to be a fantastic night for a fantastic cause," said Teresa Belbas. "We're inviting all Lumberjacks and everyone who supports our students and the spirit of inclusion to come out, enjoy some great music and local brews, and help us make a real difference for the NTHS Unified Sports Teams."
Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy great company, listen to fantastic local music, and contribute to a truly worthy cause.
