Heartfelt Greetings: North Tonawanda Siblings Craft Cards with Big Dreams and Tiny Hands

North Tonawanda Siblings' "Leaflet" Card Business Blossoms with Community Support, GoFundMe Launched for Big Dreams

North Tonawanda, NY – Move over, big box retailers – there are new, tiny entrepreneurs making a significant impact on North Avenue. Siblings Marley and Mila are turning their creative talents into a thriving handmade greeting card business called "Leaflet," operating under the inspiring motto, "Little Hands Making Moments Big." Their heartwarming venture, already embraced by the North Tonawanda community, has now received an additional boost: a local news outlet has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help them achieve their ambitious goals.

Spearheaded by their mother, Crista Davis, the enterprising duo crafts a range of unique cards for every occasion, from birthday wishes and words of encouragement to special celebrations, such as the loss of a first tooth. But their venture is far more than just a creative outlet; it’s a mission-driven enterprise with some incredibly heartwarming goals.

According to a leaflet shared by Crista Davis, Marley and Mila are diligently working towards three significant objectives with their earnings: a portion of their profits is dedicated to supporting a young girl the family sponsors in Haiti, embodying a remarkable spirit of global generosity. The ambitious siblings are also saving up for their future "Airbnb/farm dreams," demonstrating a long-term vision for their entrepreneurial success. Last but not least, they aim to provide a "better home for their rabbits," demonstrating a genuine affection for their beloved pets.

The GoFundMe campaign, initiated by a supportive Tonawanda news outlet, provides a vital avenue for the wider community to contribute to these heartwarming objectives. “This incredible support from our local news outlet and the community means the world to Marley and Mila, helping them realize their big dreams one card at a time,” said Crista Davis.

The journey of Leaflet began in 2021, sparked by a desire to bring joy after the passing of their grandma. Initially, the business found its home on Etsy. After taking a break for a few years, Marley rekindled the brick-and-mortar aspect, transforming a charming cabinet from Goodwill into their vibrant front-yard shop. While plans may include a return to Etsy and digitally printing their handmade drawings, for now, they cherish making "one sweet card at a time" directly for their community.

Leaflet’s pop-up shop can be found on North Avenue near the corner of Payne in North Tonawanda on good-weather days, where Marley and Mila diligently "crank out their handmade cards." Adding to the family affair, the youngest sibling has also joined the Leaflet team, expanding the offerings with treats specifically for pups, ensuring there’s something special for every member of the family – furry ones included!

For those seeking a truly personal touch, the young artists also welcome commissions, allowing customers to order custom cards tailored to specific needs. Business cards are available at their pop-up for those wishing to email about a commissioned card at leafletgreetings@gmail.com, and payments can be conveniently dropped in their mail slot.

The North Tonawanda community has already embraced these young entrepreneurs with overwhelming enthusiasm.

Tammie Robinson Graf commented on the initiative, exclaiming, "OMG! These are adorable! How old is the artist? I will be getting some!"

Kelli Leathers Bunce echoed the sentiment, stating simply, "Crista Davis, these are amazing!! 🤩"

Marley and Mila’s "Leaflet" is more than just a card business; it’s a testament to the power of youthful entrepreneurship, combining creativity with a profound sense of purpose. It offers a unique opportunity for the community to support not just a small business, but a big dream, one charming handmade card and one GoFundMe contribution at a time.
