Billed with the tagline, "If it's gross, we've got it!", this unique summer program promises to captivate curious young minds. Campers will delve into the fascinating and often squirm-inducing wonders of the natural world. From investigating creepy crawlies to exploring mucky mysteries, the camp emphasizes hands-on activities designed to foster learning while ensuring kids are "outdoors, in the healthy fresh air, where sunshine beams on our smiles."
The camp is structured into two daily sessions to accommodate different age groups. Children aged 6 to 8 will attend from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the 9 to 11-year-olds will participate from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A complimentary lunch will be provided daily at noon for all campers, alongside morning or afternoon snacks and a camp shirt.
The week culminates in an exciting all-camp field trip on Friday, July 25, to The Lockport Nature Preserve. All campers will embark on an immersive day hike, with a bus departing from the Botanical Gardens promptly at 9:30 AM and returning just after 2:00 PM. Lunch and snacks will be provided for this special outing, ensuring a full day of exploration and fun in nature.
