Fireworks Spectacular: Celebrations Across the Region This July 2-6

As Independence Day approaches, communities across the region are gearing up for a variety of spectacular fireworks displays throughout the week of July 2 to July 6. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy vibrant pyrotechnic shows at numerous locations, with events planned to light up the skies every evening leading up to and following the 4th of July.


July 2 (Wednesday)

  • Medina: After the Albany Symphony Concert, fireworks will illuminate the sky near the Medina Basin Canal.


July 3 (Thursday)A bustling night for fireworks, with dozens of celebrations planned throughout the region: 

  • Akron: Veteran’s Park 

  • Batavia: Dwyer Stadium 

  • Buffalo: At Sahlen Field following a performance by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra 

  • Cheektowaga: Cheektowaga Town Park 

  • East Aurora: Hamlin Park 

  • Ellicottville: Ellicottville Distillery 

  • Evans: Lake Erie Beach 

  • Jamestown: After the Jamestown Tarp Skunks game 

  • Lime Lake: Show starts around 9:30 p.m. (rain date July 5) 

  • Niagara Falls: Seneca Niagara Casino 

  • Olcott / Newfane: Krull Park and West Pier in Olcott at dusk 

  • Silver Creek: Borrello Park 

  • Tonawanda (Town): Kenney Field at 9:30 p.m.


July 4 (Friday – Independence Day)The main event with the largest number of displays across the area: 

  • Bemus Point

  • Cassadaga Lakes: Flares and boats display at 9:30 p.m. 

  • Dunkirk: Memorial Park (rain date July 5) 

  • Findley Lake: Starting at 10 p.m. 

  • Grand Island: Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World 

  • Hamburg: Wanakah Country Club 

  • Lakewood: Chautauqua Avenue 

  • Lancaster

  • Lewiston: Academy Park 

  • Mayville: Lakeside Park at 10 p.m. 

  • North Tonawanda: Best viewing at Webster and Sweeney Streets 

  • Olean: Bradner Stadium 

  • Orchard Park: Pavilion 

  • Pendleton: Town Park (rain date July 6) 

  • Wheatfield: Oppenheim Park 

  • Tonawanda (City) and North Tonawanda: Renaissance Bridge


July 5 (Saturday)

  • Clarence: Great Pumpkin Farm (at dusk) 

  • Lyndonville


July 6 (Sunday)

  • Ellicottville: Holiday Valley 

  • Pendleton: Rain date if needed


Safety and Enjoyment Tips: Officials encourage everyone attending the fireworks to respect safety boundaries and observe all local guidelines. Check weather conditions, as rain dates are planned in several locations to ensure the celebrations can continue despite inclement weather.
