Extended Thursdays: Explore Our New Hours Until 6 PM at North Tonawanda Parks

As the warm days of spring welcome us and summer draws near, the North Tonawanda Department of Youth, Recreation, Parks & Seniors is excited to announce our extended hours on Thursdays! Starting now until June 26, our facilities and programs will be open until 6:00 PM each Thursday. This initiative aims to give you, your family, and friends more chances to enjoy recreational activities after work or during the early evening.

Whether you’re looking to relax in our parks, take part in exciting programs, or have fun with family, this extra time is made especially for you. Let’s explore what you can look forward to during these extended hours!

Experience the Facilities

Our parks and recreation facilities are vital to the community of North Tonawanda. The extended Thursday hours offer a perfect chance for residents to utilize these venues without the typical rush of regular daytime hours.

Enjoy Outdoor Spaces

With the arrival of warmer weather, it’s time to discover our beautiful outdoor facilities. Families can bring their kids to enjoy our playgrounds or host a picnic in one of our scenic parks. If you need a space for gatherings, consider renting a park pavilion, which offers a wonderful setting for celebrations or family reunions. Reservations are available for residents starting February 3, and for non-residents from May 12.

For example, during a recent weekend, families who used our pavilions reported over 90% satisfaction with their picnic experiences. Imagine the joy of spending quality time outside in a welcoming environment!

Engage in Organized Activities

These new hours enhance your chances to engage in organized activities. Join our adult sports leagues for kickball, softball, or volleyball, all of which foster both fitness and social bonds. For example, last season, our softball league saw a 25% increase in participation, showcasing how popular these activities are within the community.

Additionally, the Recreation Center will continue offering a variety of youth programs. These programs provide engaging experiences where kids can learn skills and form friendships, all within a safe and fun environment.

Registration Made Easy

Did you know you can register for programs from the comfort of your home? Our user-friendly online registration system simplifies the sign-up process. Just create an account, and you’re ready to explore all our exciting offerings.

Should you have any questions or need help with registration, our supportive team is ready to assist you. We want to ensure that your experience in our facilities is enjoyable and seamless.
