BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department is teaming up with McDonald's to host a special school supplies giveaway designed to help local families prepare for the upcoming academic year while fostering stronger community ties.
The event, dubbed the "Golden Arches Pack Giveback," will take place on Tuesday, August 15th, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Riverside McDonald's, located at 2156 Niagara Street in Buffalo.
Students attending the giveaway will receive a free backpack filled with essential school supplies, alleviating some of the financial burden for families. In addition to the valuable supplies, attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with members of the Buffalo Police Department in a friendly, informal setting. A complimentary snack will also be provided.
This partnership underscores a commitment to community engagement and positive youth development.
"We're excited to partner with McDonald's to make a real difference for students as they head back to school," said a representative from the Buffalo Police Department. "Events like these allow us to connect with our community members, especially our young people, in a positive and supportive environment."
A spokesperson for the Riverside McDonald's added, "McDonald's is proud to support the Buffalo community, and we believe in the importance of education. Providing these essential supplies and the chance to meet local law enforcement is a wonderful way to give back."
Essential details for attendees include: only one backpack will be provided per student, and the student must be present to receive the supplies. The giveaway operates on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, so early arrival is encouraged.
The "Golden Arches Pack Giveback" promises to be a valuable resource for Buffalo families, offering not just school essentials but also an opportunity for positive community interaction ahead of the new school year.
